Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my work. I was originally drawn to this field by the complexity of the human experience, intrigued by how our biology, relationships, environments, and inner worlds intersect to shape our mental health. I trained first as a therapist, and after encountering a shortage of trauma-informed psychiatric providers in my area, I later completed additional schooling as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. This background allows me to approach care through a truly integrated lens which values both psychotherapy and psychiatry as complementary tools for healing. In addition to my formal education, I have also completed advanced training in cognitive processing therapy, perinatal psychiatry, and dialectical behavior therapy.

Over the years, I’ve developed a strong commitment to treating the whole person within the often messy, beautiful, and difficult context of their life. Mental health challenges don’t exist in a vacuum, and I believe it’s essential to understand each individual’s unique story when offering care. My goal is to provide thoughtful, emotionally attuned, whole-person care via both therapy and medication management. My work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and evidence based practices.

While I practice general psychiatry, I have a special interest in trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, and perinatal mental health. These areas are deeply personal to many of my clients, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside them in their healing. I aim to provide a space that feels safe, collaborative, and affirming.

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time with my family and nurturing my garden—two things that remind me daily of the importance of patience, presence, and tending to growth in all its forms!

Thank you for your interest. I hope that by talking more openly about mental health, we can continue to reduce stigma, build understanding, and foster real healing as a team.
