I am honored to be part of Reproductive Psychiatry and Counseling, where we provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care tailored to the unique needs of individuals navigating reproductive transitions.
From a young age, I aspired to become a physician, a dream that led me to pursue a psychology major at Baylor University to complement my medical education. During my residency, I welcomed two children, which deepened my commitment to supporting perinatal mental health. Upon returning to Austin, I established an inpatient unit dedicated exclusively to women's mental health, offering a therapeutic environment for those facing the most challenging moments of their lives.
My clinical expertise encompasses perinatal/postpartum depression and anxiety, and so much more including postpartum psychosis, mental health difficulties during infertility and pregnancy loss and more. I am particularly passionate about providing culturally competent care and advocating for reproductive mental health education to mitigate the adverse effects of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) on maternal and infant health.
At RPC, I practice with the philosophy that your medical choices are your own. My role is to provide you with the relevant information available and help you have a true understanding of your options. I want you to move forward with your medical decisions with confidence and understanding.
I am actively engaged in providing free education on online platforms because this work is truly my calling. I believe Reproductive Psychiatry and Counseling this is the best place in our community to receive mental health care, and I am honored to be a part of your journey to wellness.
