At Reproductive Psychiatry and Counseling (RPC), we believe that every patient deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported. As part of our commitment to exceptional care, we are excited to celebrate Patient Experience Week—a time to reflect on the ways we enhance the patient journey. Our goal is to provide an environment where healing begins the moment you walk through the door. Here’s how we do it:
We recognize that calling a medical office can sometimes be an overwhelming experience. That’s why we’ve eliminated the traditional phone tree system. When you call RPC, you’ll speak directly to a real person—no automated prompts, no “press 1 for this” or “press 2 for that.” From the very first step, we want you to feel welcomed, seen and supported. We work hard to ensure every call is answered by someone who can help you right away. It’s one of the many ways we make sure you never feel like just another number.
Our team is dedicated to creating an inclusive, welcoming space for all individuals, regardless of background or identity. We know that mental health care should be accessible to everyone, which is why we’ve ensured that our policies align with this core belief. We’ve taken numerous training courses to strengthen our understanding of inclusivity, discrimination, and cultural sensitivity. From our initial conversations to ongoing treatment, we want our patients to know that they are respected, valued, and cared for.
We understand how challenging it can be to walk into an office to talk about difficult and often personal topics. That’s why we’ve made it a priority to ensure that RPC doesn’t feel like a sterile, intimidating clinic. Instead, we’ve created an inviting space that feels more like a second home. With cozy furnishings, calming colors, and a relaxing atmosphere, our office is designed to make you feel at ease from the moment you arrive.
We understand that each individual’s path to seeking mental health support is unique. For many of our patients, issues related to infertility, loss, or being child-free by choice can be deeply emotional and difficult to navigate. To make sure everyone feels seen and respected, we’ve intentionally created an office environment that is free from personal pictures—especially those of children. This helps our patients feel comfortable and prevents any unnecessary triggers that may arise when experiencing personal challenges.
We are passionate about providing evidence-based care to every patient. But we also recognize that science doesn’t have all the answers, and that’s where your voice comes in. We understand that the best path forward for each person is different, and we’re here to support you in making decisions that are right for your unique situation. Our approach respects both the science and the art of mental health care, always prioritizing your individual needs.
At RPC, we don’t just aim to treat; we aim to care, in every sense of the word. By creating a space that values inclusivity, respect, and understanding, we hope that every person who walks through our doors feels comfortable, heard, and empowered in their journey toward mental health and well-being.
As we celebrate Patient Experience Week, we reaffirm our commitment to making your experience with us a positive one. Thank you for trusting us to be a part of your journey, it truly means so much to us!
